Inspired by the client's preference for our Abu Dhabi Sapphire and Loong watches, particularly their deep fascination with the color blue and pure appreciation of sapphire crystal, we embarked on a journey to craft a truly unique wristwatch tailored to their desires.

The client desires a makeover for our Loong wristwatch, requesting the inclusion of a beautiful blue gemstone and the replacement of the central second hand with a red one to elevate the watch's uniqueness.

After extensive research on the compatibility of various gemstones with the wristwatch design, and countless hours of experimentation and discussion, we have narrowed down three blue gemstone options: Sapphire, Aquamarine, and Tourmaline, for the client to choose from. Ultimately, the client opted for Sapphire due to its blue hue and transparency, aligning most closely with their expectations for the wristwatch.

Our artisans carefully selected a set of 0.29 carat Sapphires, each certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to ensure uniformity in color, clarity, and cut angles. Utilizing meticulous craftsmanship, we then expertly set these gemstones onto the 18K white gold bezel, creating the "Loong" wristwatch adorned with inlaid Sapphires.

The dial design draws inspiration from the oriental dragon culture. Collaborating with an Eastern micro-carving master, our design team crafted a three-dimensional 18K white gold dragon sculpture. We also embedded a ruby in the dragon's eye, echoing the traditional adage of adding a finishing touch to the painting. Additionally, we replaced the hour markers on the dial with Sapphires and changed the central second hand to red, as per the client's request, adding a vibrant accent to the overall design.

The core material of this project, sapphire crystal, offers unparalleled beauty to the wristwatch due to its exceptional hardness and transparency. Both the case and strap are crafted from sapphire crystal, benefiting from our years of research and accumulated expertise. Through meticulous carving and polishing, we ensure the pristine appearance of the sapphire crystal watch.
